Whether your goal is to simply unwind or you wish to treat a more serious problem, I can work with you to achieve your health goals. Highly skilled massage is crucial to the rehabilitation of pain and injury. Effective pain and injury treatment requires much more than just basic massage techniques. It requires a deep understanding of the anatomy of the body, and what techniques need to be used for your rehabilitation or pain relief. I graduated from the Florida Institute of Massage Therapy in 1991. It was at that time I began my studies in Neuromuscular Therapy with Paul St. John. In 1992 I became a Massage Instructor and went on to teach the Advanced Therapeutic Massage Program. In 2006 I left Florida to relocate to Texas. In 1993, I earned my national certification by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). That same year I became a certified Pre-Natal Massage Therapist and Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI). I still continue my education with over 700 hours of continuing education seminars including Neuromuscular Therapy, Myoskeletal Alignment, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, ETPS, Pain Management Therapy, Massage Law and Ethics. During the past 20 years I have specialized in pain relief working with orthopedic surgeons, maxillary surgeons, chiropractors, plastic surgeons and physical therapists, and have been rewarded by helping my clients feel better again.
